Inspired by Journey to the West, this story follows the monk Genjo Sanzo on a perilous pilgrimage to India to recover sacred sutras. Along the way, he releases Goku, a powerful and unruly monkey sealed away by Buddha. Bound by fate, the two set out together on a journey west, encountering trials that test their resolve, discipline, and destiny.
